1. Agreement
These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and ProfessionalOS (“we”, “us” or “our”) when you access or use Your Next Chapter. By creating an account, submitting assessment responses or purchasing access, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy and Refund Policy.
2. What the service is
Your Next Chapter is a self-discovery and career decision-support service. It includes guided questions, structured summaries, AI-generated analysis, career and business possibilities, research prompts, comparisons, experiments and planning tools.
It is not psychological treatment, a clinical or psychometric diagnosis, recruitment, financial advice, legal advice or a promise of employment, income or business success. Outputs are hypotheses and decision aids. You remain responsible for checking important information and deciding what action is appropriate for you.
3. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, protecting access to your email and device, and telling us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use. One purchase is for the individual account holder unless we agree otherwise in writing.
4. Free and paid access
We may provide selected assessment or AI stages without charge and require a one-time payment for the complete journey. The inclusions and price shown immediately before checkout form part of your purchase. Unless clearly stated otherwise, a purchase is not a subscription and does not create recurring charges.
5. Coach-sponsored access
A coach may invite a client using a prepaid or trial journey. The coach’s payment gives the invited client access to the included product journey; it does not give the coach ownership of the client’s answers or automatic access to them. Clients control whether a Coach Brief is shared and may revoke that access.
Coaches must use the service within their professional competence, describe its limits accurately, respect client choice and privacy, and avoid presenting generated output as diagnosis, certainty or a substitute for suitably qualified advice.
Coach credit packs are prepaid, are attached to the purchasing coach account and may not be resold or transferred outside that coach’s practice without our written agreement. Unless the checkout states otherwise, paid credits are valid for 12 months from purchase. Creating an invitation reserves one credit; cancelling it before client acceptance returns that credit. A credit is consumed once the invited client accepts.
6. Payments
Payments are processed by Stripe or another disclosed payment provider. Prices are displayed in Australian dollars and include applicable GST where required, unless stated otherwise. You authorise the payment provider to charge the displayed amount. We may withhold paid access where a payment is reversed, fraudulent or not successfully received.
7. Refunds and consumer rights
Because paid digital access and AI processing can begin immediately, we do not provide refunds for change of mind, dissatisfaction with an interpretation, failure to complete the journey or failure to use the service.
This also applies to unused coach pack credits, expired credits and changes in a coach’s client numbers or practice circumstances. Where a payment is refunded or reversed under a right that applies by law, the associated access or unused credits may be withdrawn.
Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Our Refund Policy explains this in more detail.
8. Your responses and privacy
You retain ownership of your original responses. You give us a limited permission to store, copy, structure and process them only as reasonably needed to operate the service, create the outputs you request, keep the service secure and meet our legal obligations. How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Our intellectual property
The assessment structure, question design, software, branding, interfaces, scoring and synthesis methods, prompts, templates, editorial material and other service content are owned by or licensed to us. Your purchase gives you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use your results for your own career exploration. It does not permit you to copy, resell, publish, reverse engineer or use the service to create a competing product.
10. Acceptable use
You must not misuse the service, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, scrape or bulk extract content, upload unlawful or harmful material, impersonate another person, use another person’s account or use automated systems to reproduce substantial parts of the assessment or outputs.
11. AI limitations
AI outputs can be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, biased or unsuitable for your circumstances. Similar inputs may produce different results. Current research stages may rely on third-party sources that change. Do not rely on the service as the sole basis for high-stakes financial, health, legal, employment or business decisions.
12. Availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted access. We may maintain, change, replace or discontinue features where reasonably necessary. We will not intentionally remove paid access without a reasonable basis, but specific AI models, providers and output formats may change over time.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe an account is being used unlawfully, fraudulently, insecurely or in serious breach of these terms. You may stop using the service at any time and request account or assessment deletion, subject to records we must retain.
14. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost income, lost opportunities or decisions made in reliance on generated outputs. Where a guarantee applies and the law permits us to limit the remedy, our liability is limited to supplying the service again or paying the reasonable cost of having it supplied again. These limits do not apply where the law does not allow them.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia. You and we submit to the courts with jurisdiction there, subject to any rights you have under applicable consumer law.
16. Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service evolves. Material changes apply prospectively and the effective date above will be updated. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue.
